Back-to-school season is here on Whidbey Island! Whether your kids are in Oak Harbor, Coupeville, or South Whidbey schools, we’ve gathered all the key dates, resources, and events you need to start the year off smoothly.

Oak Harbor School District

• Key Dates (2025–2026 school year):
  • August 28 – School Open Houses (3:30–5:30 PM)
  • September 3 – First Day of School for Grades 1–12; WAKids conferences for Kindergarten begin and run through Sept 5
  • September 8 – First Day for Kindergarten, Pre-K, TTK, HomeConnection/OHVA models OHSD Back to School Resources
